nic in action from next year

we wish to open nic [Nenasa Inforation Centre]in our school under the Maths Section from January next year. so many valuable information including many fields will be gathered there, by this will get a support to access internet for students for their education needs through CDMA connectivity.

Mr: Nadun Rajamanthrie the Sectional Head of MATHS section will coordinate this new kind of programme as a project of him-self and the principal Mr:Kithsiri Soyza is giving him his fullest contribution and guidance to implement this project at the school successfully. Mr:Nadun said that he wishes to develop nic as a model of a TELECENTRE.

beginning of a new JOURNEY

Mr:Nadun Rajamanthrie Yapasinghe the Sectional Head of Maths Section of our school has begun a different kind of social programme for O/L students after held the first MATHS semina at Polonnaruwa on 6th of November

this programme is named as "GANITHAYEN JAYA SAMMANTHRANA MAALAWA" and in these days Mr:Nadun is visiting to various places out of Polonnaruwa to conduct those seminars.next seminars will hold at Kataragama, Hali Ela, Balangoda, Nelumdeniya and Puttalama.

Mr:Subodha from Isuru Nenasala-Kataragama organises Kataragama-semina and Mr:Udesh from Nenasala-Balangoda organises the seminar at Balangoda.

he wishes to develop this new kind of social progrme further to give more service. so he has begun his "new journey" means his own new social service programme by this.

Mr:Nadun is an old boy of Wattegama Central College and also of St/Sylvesters College,Kandy.

peace bridge opened by the Hon.President

on Oct.25, the longest bridge so far built in Sri Lanka, linking the Northern and Eastern Provinces across the 'Mahaveli River' at Manampitiya was declared open by the Hon.President Mr:Mahinda Rajapaksha.

Mr.Nadun P.Rajamanthrie Yapasinghe the Sectional Head of MATHS section of Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya,Polonnaruwa received an award from LACRI-China on 23rd November,2007 at the ceremonial function held in Lumbini theatre,Colombo for the appreciation of the dedication and the enthusiastic support as a young member of S.S.-CRI towards the promotion of friendship and mutual understanding and the development of cultural cooperation between Sri Lanka and China and for the social works have been done since 1994 and for the continious work. Mr.Wang SiyaO Thung the director of S.S.-CRI too participated this ocasion with so many guests. Mr:Thilak Udumulla and Mr:Madhushan Thilakarathne were the cheif organisers of this representing SLACRI.

MATHS seminar for OL students

Maths section of our school organised the first semina on last 6/7th at Manampitiya Mahaweli Prathiba hall and 1415 students participated that event representing about 40 schools in Polonnaruwa district specially from Dimbulagala Educational Zone.

the member of North Central Provincial Council Mr:Jayantha Marasinghe gave his fullest contribution and sponser support to held this semina and Mr.L.B.Disanayake the Provincial Additional Director of Education,Mr.G.R.Nandasena the Zonal Director of Dimbulagala, Mr.Kithsiri Jayantha de Soyza the Principal of Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya and all teachers worked hard to held this seminar successfully.

a great school in Polonnaruwa

hi all,
it's a great pleasure to say that now we mean Manampitiya Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya in great ancient kindom of Polonnaruwa began to use internet facilities for it's day today activities since last week. at this moment we connect to internet using school's CDMA phone and we wish to use anyother way in the future.

as a beginning I hoped to create a blogsite for our school as a project of my-self. to this the principal gives me his guidence and fullest support. Computer Unit and the english Unit of our school give their contribution as possible as they can.

i would like to invite all of you to add your comments,ideas give us courage to use ICT for day-today activities further.

as another project at school I have planned to begin another programe to begin Information Centre with the support of ITU of Sarvodaya's fusion, and it'll come into action as "nic"-[Nenasa Information Centre] from next January.
